Rhenus-LogisticsRhenus Logistics Limited has appointed Midshire, in a move that will deliver the international logistics business ‘significant savings’.

From its network of ten UK offices, with its head office in Manchester, the company offers road, ocean and air freight services to more than 1,500 customers across all business sectors throughout the UK.

Always looking to save costs and increase value for its own customers Rhenus UK chose Midshire to install upgraded machines across its estate, a process which, says Rhenus’ network manager Tony Crowther, ‘impressed’ with the smoothness of integration.

Rhenus’ Richard Kennerley, Financial Controller, added that the deal ‘saved us money whilst providing higher specification machines than we had before at all UK offices.’

He went on: “Whilst we try and minimise our printing costs wherever possible, there remain occasions where our customers demand printed documents which of course we supply. The installation process with Midshire was very smooth with no disruption. For us the change of supplier has gained efficiencies and increased cost effectiveness.”

A welcome and important addition to Midshire’s client base, MD Julian Stafford said: “Our experience enables us to implement the right solutions for businesses such as Rhenus, with minimal interruption to their day to day routines. Our aim is always to upgrade equipment, whilst reducing costs. With our OneStop automated monitoring system in place, we can manage the whole fleet of printers off-site. Sending toner, logging engineer calls and taking meter readings on behalf of Rhenus, so that they don’t have to, saving precious time and resources. The system is in and already proving its worth. It goes without saying, we are delighted to be appointed by Rhenus.”

Rhenus UK provides global transportation services from all its branches through the international Rhenus network and external partners. Rhenus Group, a privately owned German organisation employs 18,000 people across 290 sites throughout Europe and has annual turnover of €3 billion.

The Rhenus business areas – Contract Logistics, Freight Logistics, Port Logistics and Public Transport – manage complex supply chains and provide a wealth of innovative value-added services.
