Midshire’s 6th Annual Warwick Race Day

Posted on

Midshire was pleased to host our 6th Annual Midshire Race Day at Warwick Racecourse on Friday 4th July.

WillisonsThe Ladies Day event featured seven races (two sponsored by Midshire) as well as best dressed and best hat competitions.

Organised by Midshire Sales Manager Danny Walden, the day recognises our long-standing, strong business partnerships and customer relationships. A collection of over 50 guests were welcomed with a champagne reception, followed by a buffet lunch in the Marquee Lawn, close to the Parade Ring and Winners Enclosure.

The-BoysThe race day was a lovely opportunity for the Midshire team to spend some time with our customers and partners including; Ricoh UK, Willsons Solicitors, Bedworth Citizens Advice Bureau, Penderels Trust, Draper Management, British Showjumping Association, NASH, St Peter’s RC School, Cawthornes, AJA Architects, Heart of England Co-Operative, Balsall Common Primary, Sky Blues in the Community, The Finishing Touch, CLS Fabrication, Freeman Group, Leamington FC, Contact Originators, Blackstone Solicitors, Blue Octopus Recruitment, Trafford Community Leisure Trust and Independent Advocacy.
Highlights of the day were most certainly our two races:

Midshire Business Systems – Office Technology   15:10
Race Winner: Spiraea

 Ricoh – Imagine Change   16:20
Race Winner: Zebs L

The girlsThe weather was excellent and allowed for a good day’s racing and judging. Some customers and Midshire staff were pleased to judge the best turned out horse for both of our sponsored races. All horses were immaculate, so it was a really tough call.

Louise Watkins from The Institute of Conductive Education attended the day as our official charity sponsor. Some of the Midshire team had recently walked the entire length of Hadrian’s Wall for Red Boots, part of The National Institute of Conductive Education. Donations to the Institute on the day raised £297.61.

Sue-Tunley-and-CustomerThere were some competitions and quizzes throughout the day, with The British Showjumping Association being the lucky winner of the raffle prize, a signed Coventry City football shirt kindly donated by David Buust and Guy Rippon from Sky Blues in the Community.

We hope that all who attended had a fantastic day and believe it was perhaps our best yet!
