Midshire Attends Liverpool Law Society Annual Dinner
As managed print service provider and sponsor of Liverpool Law Society, Midshire was invited to join 300 members and guests of the Society at the 188th Annual Dinner at the Adelphi Hotel in Liverpool on Friday 13th November.
Midshire is the headline sponsor to the Liverpool Law Society for the next five years, and will be supporting the society with its managed print service fleet consisting of their Sharp MX2640 multifunctional printer and Sharp MX6240 production printer.
Several guests, including William Whawell from, Midshire’s managed print service customer, Auxilium Legal accompanied Midshire at the Annual Dinner for an evening of entertaining speeches and a four-course dinner.
The President of the Law Society, Emlyn Williams, welcomed the attendees to the Annual Dinner before introducing guest speaker Michael Mansfield QC, who spoke about current interests in the Legal sector. Emlyn then replied to Michael’s speech, highlighting some key moments from his year, before announcing his comical annual awards to a number of committee members, staff and contacts. After this speech, the four-course dinner commenced.
After dinner, the Vice President Alison Lobb proposed a toast to the guests and thanked the society’s sponsors and partners including: Midshire, Alpha Biolabs, AON and VFS Legal Funding.
Julian Stafford, Midshire MD comments: “This was the first time we’ve been invited to an event with the Liverpool Law Society, and it didn’t disappoint. It was a great evening, with some fantastic guest speakers. I look forward to attending next year’s event”.
The final speech of the night was conducted by Leader of the Northern Circuit, Andrew O’Byrne QC who reminisced about his time at the University of Liverpool and also his early days from the Bar.
This speech was followed by the presentation of the “Special Recognition Award for Outstanding Service”, which was awarded to David Tournafond for his work as Charities and Education Committee chair and for his 20 years of service to the Society.
The evening also raised £1,443.00 for the North West Legal Support Trust.
