Midshire and Gorvins Solicitors Collaborate on Case Study Video
Industry leading, office technology sales and service provider Midshire, launches the second in a series of customer case study videos.
The video features Stockport based, full-service law firm Gorvins Solicitors and explores how Midshire supplies a bespoke managed print service (MPS) solution that supports its growing firm of 14 partners and over 100 staff.
Midshire and Gorvins first worked together a decade ago and during this time Gorvins has progressed from having a single multifunctional printer (MFP) to having 10 multifunctional devices, document security features and a print management software solution from Midshire.
Working with MPS partner Sharp Business Systems UK, the video focuses on key requirements that a law firm has to consider to manage and protect its print output.
The utilisation of Gorvins existing key fob technology, which gives staff access to the building, was integrated to also control user authentication on the printer devices; meaning that only the person who sends a document to print, can authorise its release and collect it from the printer. This ensures that Gorvins business documents and that of its clients remain fully confidential. Furthermore, the Sharp devices guarantee that all data is both fully encrypted and secured by 7-times overwrite protection for additional security.
Chris Walker, IT Manager at Gorvins explains why they chose to partner with Midshire: “We met Midshire about 10 years ago, the account manager Nick has been really understanding about Gorvins as a business. Our initial requirement was just one copier. Midshire came out on top for both cost and performance and over time we have used Midshire as our sole supplier.”
The video demonstrates the importance of data security to legal firms like Gorvins. Mark Deverell, Senior Partner commented: “Document security is vital. We handle very commercial confidential information on a daily basis.”
Chris Walker added: “Being a law firm, we need to make sure everything is confidential and everything is secure, Midshire understood that.”
Midshire specialises in print solutions for the legal sector and supports over 10,000 installations across the UK.
Nick Rose, Sales Manager at Midshire commented on the partnership:
“It’s a genuine pleasure for me to work so closely with an exciting firm like Gorvins and I’m truly grateful that they’ve agreed to share their positive experiences with Midshire by assisting with the video. It’s been a pleasure looking after them for the last ten years and I look forward to continuing to grow that relationship as a key partner to the firm”.
This video follows the first case study at St Cyres School in South Wales, which looked at their bespoke solution with Lexmark devices. Filmed over the next 18 months, the video series will feature a wide range of customers and environments that Midshire supports with bespoke managed print services.
