#BusinessOfTheWeek: Engaging Communities Staffordshire

Posted on

This week our #BusinessOfTheWeek is Engaging Communities Staffordshire (ECS). The ECS is an independent community interest company working to give a voice to the people of Staffordshire who use health and social services.

Services

ECS offers a number of public engagement services for the Staffordshire region.

Experience Exchange is the new feedback platform for Health Watch Staffordshire.  It allows the public to share their experiences of health and social care services. Those who have recently visited: the hospital, doctors, opticians, dentists, care home etc in Staffordshire are encouraged to tell others what they thought of the service.

• Did you have to wait long?
• Were the staff friendly?
• Did they explain your treatment appropriately?

This feedback is vital to improving the services. ECS need people who use them day in, day out and know exactly how it feels.

If you have recently used health and social services in Staffordshire, please follow this link to voice your opinion.

Events

Health Watch Staffordshire will be holding its annual general meeting on Tuesday 15th July 2014 at 9:30am. The meeting is being held at the Rising Brook Conference Centre in Stafford. The agenda will include the presentation of the annual report and volunteer awards amongst other topics.

Midshire Senior Sales Executive Martin Hill comments:

‘I have worked with Engaging Communities Staffordshire for nearly three years. The company has grown so quickly that I have recently upgraded their machine to cope with their workload.

Aileen has always been approachable and willing to investigate and consider new technology. We are looking to work together in the coming months to promote the excellent service Engaging Communities provides.’
